HR Generalist

BySide is seeking an HR Generalist to join our Talents & Culture team.


Job Description

BySide has grown from a 3-person startup in 2006 (before startups were cool!) to an 80+ person team, with the mission to improve our clients’ marketing results through Lead Activation: the ability to maximise revenue from visitors on a website, app or landing page. We achieve this by building and applying our technology: a platform that offers a unique combination of a Marketing Cloud and a Cloud Contact Centre. Recently been acquired by the CoreMedia Group located in Hamburg (Germany).


As HR Generalist at BySide, you will report directly to the Head of Talents & Culture in Portugal, providing support and contributing to the implementation and execution of human resources and organizational culture initiatives within the company. You will be directly involved in the planning and implementation of new initiatives.


Main Responsibilities 

  • Participation in the recruitment and selection processes: receiving and analyzing CVs, scheduling interviews, conducting screenings and interviews, and managing relationships with external partners.
  • Management of new employee onboarding processes, including the preparation of necessary documentation, materials, and handling all required official communications.
  • Updating databases associated with ongoing people management processes.
  • Recording and monitoring workplace accidents, and reporting them to relevant stakeholders when necessary.
  • Administrative management of employee life cycles, including vacation tracking, occupational health, and issuing requested declarations, among other tasks.
  • Support for projects related to Compensation and Benefits.
  • Assisting in identifying training needs and executing administrative processes associated with all conducted training.
  • Conceptualization and organization of internal events and activities to foster the company's culture.
  • Document and process management related to HR.
  • Direct reporting to the Head of Talents & Culture in Portugal, providing support for other needs within the scope of departmental initiatives.


Key Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Management, Social Sciences, or a similar, relevant field;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools;
  • Having at least 2 years of professional experience;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English
  • Ability to adapt to change and a resilient mindset.
  • Desire to develop one's own ideas and contribute to teamwork constructively.
